Papers, 1943-1977 (mainly 1961-1977), of Arthur Waskow, a historian, writer, activist, and rabbi, primarily documenting his activities as a research fellow for the Peace Research Institute (PRI), 1961-1963, and the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), 1963-1977; as a leader in left-wing Jewish organizations; and as a writer on subjects relating to peace, the war in Vietnam, and Judaism. In addition, there are detailed notes from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) records at the Library of Congress about the race riots of 1919, the subject of Waskow's doctoral research.
